Delete your LawMuse account

From the app (fastest)

1. Open LawMuse and go to More → Profile & security.
2. Scroll down and tap Delete my account.
3. Confirm with your password and type DELETE. You are signed out on every device, and we email you the date your account will be erased.

Changed your mind? 30 days to restore

Your account closes at once, and nobody, including the people you shared cases with, can open your cases. For 30 days you can sign in and choose Restore: everything comes back as you left it. After 30 days it is erased for good. If you'd rather not wait, tick Erase now, without the 30 days when you delete.

By email

If you can't open the app, email privacy@lawmuse.in from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm by email before deleting and complete it within 7 days.

What is erased

• Your account, profile, sessions and settings.
• The cases, clients, documents, notes, drafts and reminders in your own workspace, and your data exports.
• Your access to cases other advocates shared with you. Their cases stay with them.

What we keep, and for how long

• Your registration details (name, email, mobile and enrolment number), encrypted, for 180 days after erasure, as the IT Rules 2021 require. Nothing from your cases.
• Payment and invoice records, as long as tax law requires.
• Security logs (without your case content), for one year, as Indian law requires.
• Erased data leaves our encrypted backups within [35] days.
