Cancellation and refunds

Last updated: [DATE]

In short: plans don't renew automatically, so there is nothing to cancel. A plan runs until its end date and then your account moves to the Free plan. Money taken in error is always returned.

Cancelling

LawMuse plans are paid for a fixed period (for example 30 days or one year) and do not renew on their own. To stop paying, simply don't renew. You keep the plan until its end date, and we remind you before it ends.

Refunds

  • Payments made in error (charged twice, charged for a plan that did not activate, or charged after a failed payment): refunded in full to the original payment method within 5–7 working days of our confirming it.
  • First purchase: if you are not satisfied, write to us within [7] days of your first paid plan and we will refund it in full.
  • Otherwise amounts paid are not refundable for the unused part of a period, except where the law requires a refund or where we cannot provide the plan because of a fault on our side.

Upgrades and downgrades

An upgrade starts at once. The unused value of your current paid plan is taken off the price of the new one. A move to a lower plan starts when your current plan ends; nothing is refunded for the change.

How to ask for a refund

Write to support@lawmuse.in from the email address on your account, with the payment reference (it starts with pay_) and the reason. We reply within 2 working days.
